How to pay

I want to buy from you, what are my payment options?

We have many payment options available when you checkout. You can use any of the following payment methods: 

  • Credit/Cheque card (via PayFast)
  • Instant EFT (via PayFast)
  • Direct EFT Bank Transfer

Simply select the option which is most convenient to you on the checkout page after you've chosen your shipping method. (For more details on how we ship, click here.)

When making a direct deposit/EFT for your order, please use your name or order number as a reference so that we can correctly allocate your payment to your order. 

Can I pay using a cheque card?

Yes, if your Debit card has a CVV number and an expiry date, as well as a Visa or Mastercard logo, you can use it to pay for your order.

What is a CVV number?

The CVV Number (Card Verification Value) on your credit card or debit card is a 3 digit number on the back of your VISA® and MasterCard® branded credit and debit cards. It is a security feature of your card, and helps our payment provider with security when processing your payment. 

How do I pay using a credit/cheque card?

On checkout after you have entered your details, you will be taken through to the payment page. Here you will select PayFast as the payment option and you will you will be directed to a PayFast secure payment page where you can enter your credit card details. This process is safe and secure. Our payment gateways only use the strictest form of encryption, namely Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) and no credit card details are stored on our website in any form. 

Is paying by credit card safe?

We know this is a worry for some folk, especially first-timers. So let's help you shop worry free - Credit/Cheque cards are actually the safest way to pay for your Yarn Room goods. 

All credit card transactions take place on a secure page through our 3rd party payment gateway, PayFast. They only use the strictest form of encryption, namely Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3), as well as a host of other security measures to be as sure as possible that your transaction is as close to 100% safe as possible. We also never see your credit card details, nor are they stored anywhere on our website.

How do I pay via EFT?

Once you have selected 'Direct EFT' as your payment option at the checkout, your order will be placed and our bank details will be presented to you so that you can make payment for your order. We will also include our bank details in your order confirmation email that will have been sent to you in case you missed the bank details. This email will have our banking details or refer to the bank details listed above.

Please make sure you use your Yarn room order number or name as the reference on your EFT. Send proof of payment to info@theyarnroom.co.za and we will process your payment as quickly as we can. If you don't send us proof of payment, please know that we will only dispatch your order once payment has been received in our bank account. 

Can I place an order and pay only when collecting or on delivery?

Unfortunately not. All orders must be placed and paid for online before they are shipped out to you. If you would like to pay for your order in person, please visit our store in Pretoria. 

Can I part pay?

You cannot part pay for your order using your credit card. You can however part pay for your order using Direct EFT, but please bear in mind that we won't ship your order to you until we have received full payment for your order.
