A new chapter for The Yarn Room

I am thrilled to share that The Yarn Room has a new family member

Josephine, our new The Yarn Room family member
Meet Josie, a.k.a Josephine!

Many of you may know her already from her long career at the I Love Yarn store in Brooklyn. It was lovely to visit her there, and she was always glad to see her clients. When that store closed earlier this year, I asked her to join our team.

I could not have asked for a more enthusiastic, knowledgeable and loving person to help us grow our budding business! She has been with us for just 2 weeks, and already she has added so much value. Least of all she has already taught me a thing or two!

A bit more about her...

Josephine was born in Kwa-Mhlanga, Mpumalanga. She still lives there with her husband of 27 years. (Wow! What a great role model for us younger peeps!) She is the loving mother of Thabo, Thabiso (22), Malebo (12) and little Kabelo (10). Her mother language is Sepedi.

As a child, her favourite thing to do was to play Netball with her friends. Nowadays, she keeps fit by tending to her vegetable garden. She describes this little piece of heaven in her home as 'her Big Hope'.

She has a passion for interior decorating. She dreams of continuing her studies in this subject sometime in the future. She also wishes to someday have her own party planning and catering business!

She describes herself as friendly and open-hearted. She is giving, and will always help where she can. It is her hope that all people may find happiness in their lives.

Sunshine personified!

Josephintjie certainly is a ray of sunshine in our lives. I feel privileged to count on her as a friend, and now as the first ever The Yarn Room employee!

Josephine Laughs at something silly I said
